BREAKING NEWS: Benazir Bhutto DEAD in Pakistan PDF Print E-mail

ImageRAWALPINDI, Benazir Bhutto has died after a suicide bombing that killed at least 30 of her supporters, ex-government spokesman Tariq Azim Khan and Pakistan's primary television networks said.

The blast, which has been blamed on a suicide bomber, hit the rally in the town of Rawalpindi.

A military spokesman said she had been killed in the blast a pre-election rally, a military spokesman says.

Some news reports have claimed that Bhutto was 'critically injured' in the explosion.

Her husband Asif Ali Zardari said:  "I was informed that she is badly injured."

A senior party official Baber Awan told journalists outside the hospitakl in Rawalpindi that Bhutto is dead.

According to police sources, five shots were fired on her car and one of them hit her in the neck.
