Electoral process was suspended for hours in many polling stations. Police and Rangers held scores of miscreants. One man, Mohammad Salim was killed and four others injured in clashes between two rival political factions in Shakargarh village. The rangers apprehended 14-armed men who forcefully tried to caste vote in NA 131 constituency of Narang Mandi. Exchange of fire took place outside the Qadirabad Polling station between PML – Q and PPP workers which left 5 people injured. The army reached the spot and polling process was suspended for two hours. A political worker, Lala Fayyaz was killed in an exchange of fire in NA 112 Sialkot. |
