"Through a common friend General Durrani I had advised president Musharraf to resign two months back. But the president gave no reply. I am 110 percent sure of the success of impeachment process", he said this in an interview with a private TV channel Zardari said "we" had already completed number game when such a vital move was being launched. "I hope PML-Q members who want to stay alive in the pages of history will join the voice of nation. They are who want to remain alive politically without the support of general Musharraf", he underlined. Talks are underway with MQM in this connection as "we" have to live together in Sindh he said adding may be I have sent some one to Altaf Hussain.. Regarding Aitzaz Ahsan Zardari said he was member of the party adding he however respects his stance being president of Supreme Court Bar Association. Time has come that even his aides will not side with him, he held. "I don’t want to insult any institution. My top priority is transition to democracy", he added. Army is a constitutional institution and it will discharge its constitutional obligations, he remarked. Army will not come on the way to impeachment process, he maintained. Zardari regretted that President Musharraf had shown irresponsible attitude with reference to his visit to China, as prime minister had to move to China in his place at the last moment. PPP co-chairman said all the deposed judges would be reinstated. "I am not candidate for presidency", he declared. If 58(2)b is used in the prevailing situation then I am sure judiciary will stand beside parliament, he underlined. An old magician is making some efforts. "But I will ask all these elements not to try to play with democracy as it could force us to include their name in the charge sheet against the president", he cautioned. To a question PPP co-chairman said president Pervez Musharraf had not changed his mindset so far.
